The Super Spa Defoamer prevents water foam on a long-term basis rather than temporarily treating it like other defoamers. The secret ingredient is chitosan, a proven oil remover from items such as lotions and hair care products. The Chitosan works to break down the foam completely, then it flocs it together so it can be easily removed by your filter without gumming up your spa cartridge. Recommended usage of 2 oz. per every 500 gallons
